Living Library

The Living Library is an encounter experience, where people can get to know realities of life different from their own. It allows people to directly experience the existence of prejudice within us, towards those who are 'different' and the possibility of overcoming it. It aims to create a culture that is more open and open to dialogue, which does not discriminate against people on the basis of their ethnic origin, religion, beliefs, gender, sexual orientation, age or disability status. Characteristics and functioning are similar to those of a normal library: there are books to borrow, a catalogue of available titles, librarians and a reading room with chairs and tables for consultation, and of course readers. The extraordinary feature is that the books are people.

the school designs the future

We believe in a new way of doing school, involving pupils, teachers and families. We think it is fundamental to involve and make children protagonists, in contexts that are able to intrigue, motivate and open up to new knowledge. That is why we accompany activities aimed at real and shared change. Active pedagogy and learning motivation to prevent school drop-out. These are the keywords of the experimental project supported by Fondazione San Zeno and implemented by Rete Disegnare il Futuro.
