Where
Tunisi, Bizerte, Beja and JandoubaThe project in brief
In Tunisia, more than a million and a half young people are neither studying, working, nor looking anymore. The economic crisis that began in 2022 and, in rural areas, the drought have narrowed the road even further — and for many, in the northern governorates, the only way out seems to be emigration.
InES starts here. Across Bizerte, Beja and Jandouba, it walks alongside 300 young people between the ages of 15 and 35: workshops to rediscover creativity, life-skills pathways for those who have stopped believing in themselves, internships, grants, support for those who want to start a business. And around them, a network of services that learns to see each person for who they are. Because countering exclusion means, above all, giving back the possibility of staying.
Our contribution
Support for the InES project – Economic and Social Inclusion of NEETs in Tunisia, promoted by CEFA in the governorates of Bizerte, Beja and Jandouba, aimed at 300 young people between the ages of 15 and 35 in situations of school or work disengagement.
Support for pathways to develop personal and professional skills — creative workshops, life-skills training, training, internship and employment grants — and for actions supporting the launch of microenterprises and income-generating activities.
Contribution to strengthening local actors and the young operators who accompany the most vulnerable beneficiaries, through the creation of local guidance hubs and qualitative profiling tools.
