[in prison, one should learn to be free]
Un mare dentro (A Sea Inside) is a journey beyond bars, into reality.
On 18 November, that journey took shape in front of 400 high school students in Verona, with a meeting that transformed an ordinary morning into an open question about the world.
On stage, Kento, moderated by Tommaso Carrieri: a lively, direct, unfiltered dialogue. They talked about IPM, choices, guilt and possible freedom. About words that open up new perspectives.
We asked ourselves questions about numbers that tell more than they seem: “How many juvenile prisoners are there in Italy? And how many juvenile detention centres?”
And then reflections that stay with you:
'In prison, one should learn to be free'
'Rap brings words, expression, it brings out hidden inner feelings'.
The audience asked some weighty questions, and then Kento made the most powerful reversal: “For juvenile prisoners, you guys are the real idols. Because you are outside. Because you meet your friends, go out, live your freedom”.
