Where
India, BiharThe project in brief
Kadam, in Hindi, means steps. Ten of them: enough to make sure no one gets left behind along the way.
In Haryana and Bihar, the training programme builds pathways where theory and practice alternate — and where teacher education becomes the first act of teaching.
Because learning, before it is a right, is a possibility that someone must keep open.
Our contribution
Support for strengthening public teacher training institutes (DIET – District Institute of Education and Training) across twelve districts of Bihar, one of the five poorest states in India.
Support for pedagogical training programmes for both newly qualified teachers and those already in service in primary schools, with the aim of improving teaching quality and classroom competencies.
